Autumn walks part 1

I am working on my landscape photography lately. I am lucky to live in a very picturesque region of UK so each excursion is an opportunity to take photos.

Winter wonderland - somewhere in West Yorkshire

I like my winters cold and snowy and to be perfectly honest the UK is not spoiling me in that regard.
So I am starting to think that I should probably move to Sweden.

Today in order to remind myself how winter looks, I started digging in my photo vault and found few quite lovely (if I say so myself) winter photos taken in January this year trying to preserve those rare moments when winter is acting as winter should.

I hope you will enjoy them as much as I did taking them.

Christmas photo shoot - part one

So it is that time of the year when I can dig out all my Christmas decorations and all sets of my fairy lights and start working on some festive photos. I won't say anything surprising if I say that light is the key here. To achieve that familiar warm mood I tend to use much more warm light and in editing, I look for a slightly aged look. Here is one of my recent sets including candles fairy lights and Christmas tree.

Trip to Iceland

It was 4 days full of exploring, wandering and taking photos which in my humble opinion is the best way to recharge batteries and get the mind off things. I am not sure why but I've always loved cold bleak landscapes and this trip just fanned that affection. Among many other places, I have visited Blue Lagoon, Vik and black sand beach, Strokkur Geysir, Skógafoss.

The set of photos that I am posting today is just a small fraction of around 3k I have taken during my stay.
I hope they can show how remarkable that island is.
